These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of VintageHairstyling.com, including the Bobby Pin Blog, the Vintage Hairstyling online store, account features, publicly available tutorials and articles, and other content or services offered through the website.
VintageHairstyling.com is owned and operated by HRST Books LLC. In these Terms of Use, “VintageHairstyling.com,” “HRST Books LLC,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to HRST Books LLC. “Site” refers to VintageHairstyling.com and its associated pages and features.
By accessing, browsing, creating an account on, or making a purchase through the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms of Use and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.
Additional Policies and Purchase Terms
These Terms of Use serve as the general agreement governing use of the Site. Certain activities and purchases are also governed by additional policies and terms, including:

- our Shipping, Cancellations, Returns and Refunds Policy; and
- our Online Course Access Terms and Conditions.

Purchases of and access to online courses are specifically governed by the Online Course Access Terms and Conditions. If there is a conflict between these Terms of Use and the Online Course Access Terms and Conditions concerning an online course, the Online Course Access Terms and Conditions will control.
Our collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy and Cookie Policy.
Visitors, Customers and Registered Users
“Visitors” are people who browse or use publicly available portions of the Site without creating an account.
“Customers” are people who make or attempt to make a purchase through the Site.
“Registered Users” are people who create an account through the Site. An account may be required to purchase or maintain access to certain digital products, online courses or other restricted content.
HRST Books LLC reserves the right to refuse registration, suspend an account or deactivate an account when we reasonably believe that a user has violated these Terms of Use, the Online Course Access Terms and Conditions, another applicable policy or the rights of HRST Books LLC or another person.
Age Requirements
The Site is not intended for children under 13 years of age. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or submit personal information through the Site.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Site only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. Purchases must be made by an adult who is legally able to enter into the transaction.
Accounts and Account Security
When creating an account, you agree to provide current and accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password and other account credentials.
Each account is intended for use by one individual unless we expressly state otherwise. You may not share, sell, transfer or provide your account credentials to another person for the purpose of allowing that person to access restricted or purchased content.

Purchases
Products, digital content and online courses offered through the Site are subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products or content, correct errors and refuse or cancel an order when reasonably necessary.
If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will refund the amount collected for the canceled portion of the order.
Prices, product descriptions, photographs and availability information may be corrected if they contain an error. We make reasonable efforts to present products and content accurately, but colors, proportions and other visual details may appear differently depending on the device or screen used.
Physical-product purchases are subject to our Shipping, Cancellations, Returns and Refunds Policy. Digital downloads, online courses and other forms of digital access may have different cancellation and refund restrictions from physical products.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing, shipping and contact information. Customers purchasing internationally are responsible for customs duties, import taxes or similar charges imposed by the destination country unless otherwise stated.
Ownership of the Site and Its Content
Unless otherwise indicated, the Site and its original content are owned by or licensed to HRST Books LLC. This includes, without limitation, written material, photographs, illustrations, graphics, videos, tutorials, course materials, digital downloads, product instructions, page designs, logos, branding and other creative material.
The Site includes content associated with VintageHairstyling.com, the Bobby Pin Blog, HRST Books LLC, Lauren Rennells, the Roll & Go Hair Tool and other products, publications and projects created or distributed by HRST Books LLC.
Using the Site or purchasing a product or digital-content license does not transfer ownership of the Site or its content to you.
Trademarks, service marks, product names, trade names and logos displayed through the Site belong to HRST Books LLC or their respective owners. They may not be used in a manner that suggests sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement without permission from the applicable owner.
Permitted Personal Use
Visitors may view publicly available Site content for their own lawful, personal and noncommercial use.
Customers and Registered Users who purchase access to digital content may use that content only as permitted by the terms presented with the purchase. Purchasing digital content or online-course access provides a limited right of access or use. It does not transfer copyright or ownership of the content.
You may share links directing people to publicly available pages on the Site. You may not republish substantial portions of our articles, photographs, videos or other content on another website, social-media account, publication, course, file-sharing service or other platform without written permission.
Bloggers, journalists, educators and other publishers who wish to quote, reproduce or license our content should contact us before using it.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Site or its content to:
- copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit Site content without written permission;
- upload, repost, broadcast or distribute purchased videos, course materials, digital downloads or other restricted content;
- share account credentials or provide unauthorized access to restricted content;
- remove copyright notices, trademarks, watermarks or other ownership notices;
- misrepresent the source, ownership or authorship of our content;
- use automated systems to access, scrape, copy, index, harvest or extract Site content beyond ordinary search-engine indexing permitted by us;
- use Site content for text or data mining or to train, develop, evaluate or improve an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system without our prior written permission;
- attempt to bypass account controls, paywalls, video protections, download restrictions or other security measures;
- introduce malicious code, interfere with Site operation or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers or another user’s account;
- use the Site for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or misleading purposes; or
- violate the intellectual-property, privacy or other legal rights of another person.
Permission for one particular use does not grant permission for any other use.
Copyright Concerns
We respect the intellectual-property rights of others and expect Site users to do the same.
If you believe material appearing on the Site infringes your copyright, please contact us with enough information to identify the copyrighted work, the material at issue and your contact information. We may request additional information necessary to evaluate the report.
Submitting a copyright report does not guarantee that material will be removed. We may remove, restrict or restore material as we reasonably determine appropriate under the circumstances and applicable law.
Materials You Submit to Us
Please do not send confidential business information, trade secrets, unreleased product concepts or other information that you expect us to keep confidential unless we have agreed in writing to receive it on that basis.
You retain ownership of original material you submit to us. By submitting material for a customer-service request, order question, technical-support request or similar private communication, you authorize us to use that material only as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, administer the applicable account or transaction, maintain appropriate business records and comply with legal obligations.
We will not use private customer-service emails, photographs or other privately submitted materials in advertising, merchandise, publications or public social-media content without obtaining additional permission.
When you intentionally submit a public comment, product review or other material for public display, you grant HRST Books LLC a nonexclusive, worldwide and royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, moderate and display that material in connection with the Site and the applicable product or content.
You represent that you have the right to submit any material you provide and that its use as described in these terms will not violate another person’s copyright, privacy, publicity or other rights.
We may decline to publish or may remove public submissions that are unlawful, abusive, misleading, unrelated, promotional, infringing or otherwise inappropriate for the Site.
Safety Notice
The Site provides educational information about hairstyling, beauty, cosmetics, hair tools and related subjects. Techniques and products may work differently depending on a person’s hair, skin, experience, health, equipment and circumstances.
Use appropriate care, read product instructions and discontinue a technique or product if it appears unsafe or causes discomfort or an unexpected reaction. Children should use hairstyling tools, pins, heated appliances, cosmetics and similar products only with appropriate adult supervision.
By choosing to perform a technique shown or described through the Site, you accept the ordinary risks associated with that activity. Neither the Site nor its educational content is a substitute for medical, cosmetology, safety or other individualized professional advice.
Affiliate Links and Third-Party Services
The Site may contain affiliate links. HRST Books LLC may receive compensation when a visitor follows an affiliate link and makes a qualifying purchase. Affiliate relationships do not increase the price charged by the third-party seller unless expressly disclosed.
The Site may also link to websites, products, videos, payment processors, social-media platforms and other services operated by third parties. These services are controlled by their respective operators and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
Providing a third-party link does not guarantee or warrant the availability, accuracy, safety or suitability of the third-party website, product or service. You access third-party services at your own discretion.
Site Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue Site pages, features, products or publicly available content. We do not guarantee that every portion of the Site will remain available at all times or operate without interruptions or errors.
Temporary Site outages, maintenance, software updates, hosting failures and disruptions involving third-party services may affect Site operation.
Separate terms may govern whether and how changes to a purchased digital product or online course affect an existing customer’s access.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Except for warranties expressly provided by us or required by applicable law, the Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HRST Books LLC disclaims implied warranties relating to the Site, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement.

We also do not warrant that every article, historical reference, product description or other item of information will be complete, current or free from typographical or technical errors.
Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes a warranty, remedy or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HRST Books LLC and its owners, employees, contractors and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Site.
This limitation includes, without limitation, losses resulting from interrupted access, lost data, unauthorized account use, reliance on Site content or the conduct of a third-party website or service.
Nothing in these Terms of Use limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including any liability that applicable law prohibits us from excluding.
Suspension and Termination
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to an account or Site feature when we reasonably believe that a user has violated these Terms of Use, misused purchased content, shared account access, attempted to bypass security controls, engaged in fraud or created a security or legal risk.
Termination of an account does not eliminate payment obligations, refund restrictions, intellectual-property protections or other provisions that reasonably continue after account access ends.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use to reflect changes to the Site, our business practices or applicable legal requirements.
The revised terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Changes will apply prospectively from the stated effective date. The terms and policies presented at the time of a purchase will generally continue to govern that transaction unless a change is required by law, is necessary to address security or misuse, or is accepted by the customer.
Your continued use of the Site after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms as they apply to future Site use.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the mandatory laws of another jurisdiction apply.
Any dispute concerning these Terms of Use or the Site will be brought in a court with appropriate jurisdiction in Colorado unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Severability and No Waiver
If a provision of these Terms of Use is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the greatest extent legally permitted, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce that provision or another provision in the future.
Entire Agreement
These Terms of Use, together with the policies and additional terms incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between you and HRST Books LLC concerning use of the Site and the applicable products, content or services.
Headings are provided for convenience and do not alter the meaning of these terms.
