The Cordelia hairstyle! Learn vintage waves with this video tutorial.

Cordelia roller set using the Rockin' Rollers

Cordelia means heart.

I named the vintage curl hairstyle Cordelia for a few reasons. It’s symmetry and silhouette remind me of the shape of the top of a heart. I also just think it is a beautiful name!

It was a very popular baby name during the late Victorian and Edwardian Eras. I like to pick names for the hairstyles I design based on the timeline of when the lovely lady wearing it might have been born. This silhouette was very popular during the late 1930s, so the woman wearing it might have been born around 1907. Make sense?
