Vintage Inspired Halloween Costume with no sewing required…

Running out of time? Need a fast halloween costume and you like things that are vintage or retro? Can’t sew or paint or anything else that requires crafting ability? Here are some easy and quick costume ideas from the vintage vault.

Try this costume quicky. Pick up a cardboard photo prop (links to options down below). Props are a fun way to add an extra something to your costume and get people talking about it more. And, these things are photo props from party supply stores, so anytime someone wants to take your picture, you’re all set.

Bonnie and Clyde costume with 1920s cardboard car prop!

Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were a notorious outlaw couple during the Great Depression, remembered for their daring bank robberies, car thefts, and violent confrontations with police in the early 1930s. Their crime spree captured headlines across America and made them both folk heroes and feared criminals. The pair’s dramatic story ended in 1934 when they were ambushed and killed in Louisiana, cementing their place in history as one of the most infamous criminal duos of the 20th century.

Adding this cardboard 1920s car prop adds another layer to the costume.

1960s Flower Child Costume complete with Peace Bus

This Love Bus prop is a great add on to your 1960s hippie costume!

Ok. That will require a little bit of painting some hippie flowers on our face, so this one does require a little craftiness. I recommend using a face paint crayon over trying to paint with a paintbrush. Drawing somehow makes it so much easier.
